Levels of Reiki

There are two different types of reiki: Usui reiki and Karuna reiki®. From these two types, there have been several spin-off's using variations of the symbols. These two are the only types of reiki the Southeastern Reiki Center teaches. They are the only two types considered traditional.

 In order for your body to become adjusted to the varying degrees of energy, there is a particular order you must go in. When studying reiki, you must begin with Usui. This reiki is divided into four levels: I, II, IIIa (ART) and Master level.

Levels I and II

 Levels I and II are taught together. After your level one attunement, you are considered a reiki practitioner. You are able to give healing sessions to yourself and other people. After your level II attunement, your reiki energy is much stronger. You are given the first 3 symbols and because of this are able to begin sending distance healing.

IIIa or ART

You must then wait a minimum of 21 days before your next attunement. The next level is IIIa or ART which stands for Advanced Reiki Training. After this attunement, your reiki energy is again much stronger. You receive the Master symbol and the Master Attunement - but are not yet considered a Master. However,you may take this class at the same time of your Master level class.

Master Level

Again, you must wait a minimum of 21 days to go to the next level. When you receive the Master level attunement, you receive 2 additional symbols and are taught how to attune others. Your reiki energy after this attunement grows by leaps and bounds. Most people report that after their Master level attunement, their life was never the same. 

Karuna Reiki®

After you have become a Usui Reiki Master, you are then able to learn Karuna Reiki®. This next level of Reiki is much stronger than the Usui. However, when using Karuna Reiki®, the energy has a softer feeling to it. This is good for people who have not experienced a energy healing. The shock value is not as great.  Karuna Reiki® has 12 symbols associated with it that are much stronger and much more type specific than Usui Reiki. Karuna reiki® is taught in one weekend. At the conclusion of the weekend you are a full Karuna Reiki® Master able to teach others. You are also a registered Karuna Reiki® Master  with the International Center for Reiki Training.

LA-HO-CHI

 This energy is not considered reiki but is a form of energy healing. It is the only energy that we know of that is stronger than reiki. Therefore, you must be a Karuna Reiki® Master in order to receive this attunement. There is only one attunement for this class. After this attunement, you are considered a LA-HO-CHI facilitator. This energy is best used for distance healing.
