Creating Self-Esteem and Self Worth
"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent "
- Eleanor Roosevelt
Here's what one of the students from the first class had to say ...
“Before I started this class, my self-esteem was reeling from awful blows dealt by my boss for some careless mistakes I’d made. I became sincerely worried about my job security, and that fearful mindset only manifested more mistakes. Fortunately, I discovered Amy Weeks’ Self-Esteem class at the perfect time. By the end of the four-week course, my boss was actually raving about my performance. Entrusted with expanded duties as a ‘vote of confidence’ in my abilities, I suddenly feel like a star. It’s amazing how lightning-fast the steps outlined in the course helped me radically shift my life circumstances. I’m well on my way to improving every facet of my life.” – B.D.
I could say that healthy self esteem is the biggest piece in the pie of your life. But, in fact, it is much bigger than that. It is the pan that holds the pie together.
If there is ANY area of your life that you are not happy with, its cause is rooted in self-esteem. Creating healthy self-esteem and self worth will shift not only this area, but every area of your life almost immediately. Some examples of lower self-esteem are as follows:
In
your personal life, do you ever:
Say
you will start an exercise program/eat healthier/manage time better etc. but
always fail
Let
other people’s comments get to you.
Struggle
with finances, health issues, or relationship issues
Try
to please others’ before pleasing yourself
Let
other people talk to you in an unpleasant tone and not say anything
Do
what others tell you to do whether you want to or not
Try
not to “rock the boat”
Let
someone say offensive things about others in your presence and not say
anything
Let
people walk all over you
Do
you feel your friends don’t appreciate you
Are
you always there for your friends but feel they are never there for you
Never
take time out for yourself
Feel
guilty when you speak up for yourself
Have
poor posture
Dwell
in the past
Have
an addiction
Think
you can’t live without someone
Take
anti-depressants
In
your professional life, do you ever:
Get
paid what you think you are worth.
Get
passed up for promotions
Feel
guilty if you make too much money
Let
your boss talk to you condescendingly
Take blame for something you did not do
